Lot Description

Nicholas Jackson Collection. Overton-113 (R.3). The inside right serif of "A" in STATES is missing and "RI" in AMERICA nearly touch, with the "R" slightly higher. Aside from a two point deficit in grade, this example looks remarkably similar to the Eliasberg example of O-113, including the pleasing beige-blonde patina surrounded by orange framework on the obverse. Significantly more coral-orange shows on the reverse. Exquisitely struck and only lightly abraded overall.
