1880 Liberty Head Half Eagle. MS-65+ (PCGS). This gorgeous Gem is painted in a blend of tangerine and yellow-gold hues across each side. With a mintage of 3,166,000 pieces, the 1880-S half eagle is considered a common issue in most grades. However, this availability changes dramatically at the Gem level, and this issue becomes a severe condition rarity above MS-65.
