1886-S Liberty Seated Dime. Fortin-101. Rarity-4. MS-66 (PCGS). Lovely satin surfaces are fully lustrous beneath a dusting of iridescent champagne-apricot and powder blue toning. Both sides are fully struck and expectably smooth for the assigned grade. This is an issue that is surprisingly elusive in our auction archives, and with good reason. The 1886-S dime has a limited mintage of 206,524 pieces, and suffered a high rate of attrition through commercial use on the West Coast.
