THE BOYLSTON COLLECTION, PART IV A really pretty and PQ for the grade Antebellum half dollar. A remarkable flashy luster beams around the sharply struck devices giving them a real 3-D effect. Both sides show precision strikes, rendering every detail with razor-like sharpness. The frosty-brilliant surfaces are mostly untoned save for a very light dusting of gold at the rims. The eye appeal is excellent for an MS62, and at first glance this old holdered coin has the look of a higher grade. PCGS 7, NGC 5, CAC 2. This was the most recent example to sell in auction, realizing $2,585 in our May 2018 Regency Auction. Both the CAC CPG and PCGS Price Guide values are listed at $3,000.
