Lot 1572 1889. PCGS graded Proof 64 Cameo.A well struck example with a hint of light gold tone. This is the final year of production for the $3 gold coin. The obverse shows James B. Longacre's Indian Princess design, where Liberty wears a feathered headdress which was supposed to emphasize the "national character" of our new blended nation.
