- 1916 Buffalo Nickel. Proof-66 (NGC). Pale golden toning complements satiny surfaces. Virtually all design features are defined to full advantage. The 1916 is notable for having a the smallest Proof mintage of any issue in the Buffalo nickel series, exclusive of the 1927 specimen strikings. Only 600 Proof 1916 nickels were coined. PCGS# 3993.
