THE SOMMELIER COLLECTION A beautiful N-6. Frosty brown surfaces have a wonderful lustrous sheen on both sides. This variety is identified by the repunching of the 40 in the date. Lustrous brown surfaces take on tinges of sea-green and pale blue iridescent overtones. The central details are boldly impressed and we note just some minor peripheral softness at stars 4-13 on the obverse and STATE on the reverse. The eye appeal is really high end and this is a very desirable Petite Head large cent. PCGS 16, NGC 13, CAC 13. There is a wide range of APRs, ranging from $2,280 to $6,756; this one sold in September 2014 for $3,290. We think this GEM will sell for a strong bid for sure.
