1867 Pattern Five-Cent Piece. Judd-561, Pollock-622. Rarity-5. Proof-65 Cameo (PCGS). CAC. A bust of Liberty faces left on the obverse, the legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA above and the date 1867 below. Liberty is wearing a feathered headdress ornamented with four stars, and a ribbon in her hair is inscribed UNION & LIBERTY. On the reverse, a large Roman numeral V is placed on an ornate shield with the motto IN GOD WE TRUST above. Struck in aluminum with a plain edge.<br /> &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;An untoned beauty with good field-to-device contrast and freedom from significant blemishes.
