Lot Description

1829/7 Capped Bust Half Dollar. O-101. Rarity-1. MS-64 * (NGC). All four digits of the date are clearly cut over the previous date, 1827; a very large 5 with curled top is in the reverse. Sharply struck throughout, the surfaces show bright, satiny mint luster and each side has lovely sunset-golden toning with deep cobalt-blue around the obverse periphery and portions of the reverse. A problem-free example with no obvious abrasions on either side.
