Lot Description

A bold red late date large cent with rich orange/brick accents. Typical for the date, there is some areas of striking weakness. A strong cartwheel luster swirls uninterrupted on both obverse and reverse. PCGS 17, NGC 2. With the recent sales of some of the great collections of large cents (Twin Leaf, Holmes, Naftzger, etc) the prices for these have come down slightly, but make no mistake, these are not as common as the recent price realizations make them seem.
