- Undated (1795) Washington Liberty and Security Penny. W-11050, Baker-30. URS-11. Copper. EF-40 (PCGS). Examples of this type were struck in England in 1795 and circulated widely there. The present example is typically worn, although the overall detail is much bolder than that which we have seen in many other survivors. Otherwise gray-brown in tone, the obverse reveals considerable crimson-red color. A few areas of shallow pitting in the planchet are noted, and a bit of glossiness to the surfaces is perhaps suggestive of an old, light cleaning.
