Lot Description

1860-C Liberty Head Half Eagle. VF-25 (PCGS). Pleasing olive-gold patina to both sides, the reverse typically soft for the issue, but the obverse appreciably bolder throughout Liberty's portrait. The penultimate Charlotte Mint half eagle, the 1860-C is also among the scarcest in numismatic circles. This is a desirable mid-grade survivor from a limited mintage of 14,813 pieces.
