This is one of those coins where you have to really squint and use your imagination to find any Brown on this Red Brown Indian cent! Perhaps the slight mellowing to the red is what PCGS saw, but WOW is this coin RED for a RB! A truly SUPERB example, virtually FLAWLESS! Blazing RED luster booms all over, accented by gold and soft rose hues. The strike is razor sharp and the surfaces are really pleasing. A tiny tick just below O in OF keeps this from an even loftier state of preservation. PCGS 17, NGC 15, CAC 9. There are three graded MS66+ RB at the top of the pop for the designation. The most recent example sold in the 2021 ANA auction for $6,600 a world record price realized. While the Collectors Universe value is listed at $6,000 this remarkable GEM should bring more! Cert.
