1839/6 Modified Matron Head Cent. N-1. Rarity-3+. Noyes Die State A. Plain Cords. VG-10 (PCGS). Hard steel-brown surfaces with a few small patches of corrosion near the rims, but of minor consequence. A couple of rim bruises are present on the obverse, but the overdate feature is clear. Average handling marks and smooth wear on this scarce and ever popular die pairing. Early die state.
