1825 Capped Bust Half Dollar. O-109. Rarity-5. VG-10 (PCGS). A rare coin in all grades and this piece is quite attractive. Classic deep gray fields offset the lighter silver devices. Smooth wear and free of all but minor signs of circulation contact. Most of the known examples of this die pairing are tied up in advanced collections and the circulated examples often come with significant surface problems, which contrasts with the pleasing quality here.
