1853 Braided Hair Cent. N-18. Rarity-1. Grellman State-a. MS-65BN (PCGS). Gently mottled dark chocolate and steel brown accented by bold mint luster on both sides. A pair of tiny planchet flakes or strike throughs are noted behind the portrait and are as made. Another really lovely 1853 cent. The early die state. EAC:MS62+ PCGS# 406021.
