- Newcomb-9, the famous Redbook "silly head" can be additionally attributed by the peculiar "hole" in Liberty's ear. The impeccable walnut-brown surface has lost all trace of mint color, while the highest relief details have lost a bit of their patina resulting in scattered chestnut highlights. Nevertheless, the fields display lovely, nearly full flowline luster. Scarcer than the comparable "booby head".
