Lot Description

A heavy double profile at Liberty’s neck, chin and nose might confuse newcomers to the capped bust series.  The irregularity is common, especially among the dates 1823-1825.  This is another lightly toned “AU” that never entered circulation.  I find no breaks in the luster.  Minuscule signs of handling require a glass to see.  A private treaty acquisition in October 2014.   Estimate: $725 to $900
