1865 Silver Three-Cent Piece. MS-62 (PCGS). Boldly toned surfaces exhibit mottled colors that are most extensive and vivid around the obverse periphery. Seldom offered at any level of preservation, the circulation strike 1865 silver three-cent piece was produced to the extent of just 8,000 pieces. A find for the advanced collector specializing in either this odd denomination series or Civil War era coinage. Provenance: From the Boston Old City Hall Collection.
