- 1893-S Barber Half Dollar. MS-64 (NGC).
A sharply struck and boldly lustrous example, predominantly white with faint blushes of golden overtones. Surfaces are largely unabraded with little to distract the eye. A lone reed mark near the ear is the only abrasion worth noting, but it does not jump out at you. With a limited mintage of 740,000 pieces, the 1893-S is one of the more elusive and conditionally challenging issues among early mintmarked Barber half dollars. This impressive near-Gem survivor is sure to catch the eye of the astute bidder.
PCGS# 6467. NGC ID: 24LM.
