Lot Description

1788 Connecticut Copper. Miller 11-G, W-4510. Rarity-2. Mailed Bust Facing Left. AU-53 (PCGS). CAC. Rich olive brown surfaces exhibit hints of lighter golden tan where the original mint color was last to fade in the fields and in the intricacies of the devices. Well struck with just a touch of softness to the centers on both sides, a combination of light wear and strike. Seemingly well centered, though difficult to say for sure due to the PCGS gasket, this high grade specimen would make an ideal, well-balanced Mailed Bust Left for a high grade Colonial or Connecticut type set.
