Lot Description
1871 Seated Liberty Silver Dollar. Proof-63 (NGC). An elegant coin that shows rich golden-gray toning throughout, with lighter silver on the devices. When examined under a light the depth of the rich blue and rose colors show through. Clean surfaces with minimal hairlines or other signs of contact, and highly appealing. Noteworthy is the height of the wire edge or fin, which extends tall above Liberty's head and along the upper reverse as well, remarkably intact as this feature is not only delicate, but quite easy to bump even with careful handling. One of 960 struck.
