- 1795 Grate Halfpenny. Musante GW-49, Baker-29B, W-10955. Large Buttons. Copper. Reeded Edge. MS-65 RB (PCGS). The reeding on the edge slopes down to the right. A premium quality example, both sides retain considerable faded orange luster that mingles nicely with light gray-brown patina. Sharply struck in all but a few isolated areas with a smooth satin texture that is pleasing in all regards. This is a popular Conder token that has long since been "adopted" by American collectors who specialize in colonial and Washington-related coins. PCGS Population: just 2; 0 finer. PCGS# 747.
