1826 Matron Head Cent. N-6. Rarity-2. AU-55 (PCGS). Sharply struck and only lightly worn retaining excellent detail throughout. Glossy medium olive-brown on the obverse with deeper color on the reverse. Well preserved surfaces with only trivial blemishes and a bit of soft luster remaining on both sides. Intermediate die state with rim crumbling over stars 7 and 8. Includes an NGC AU-58 BN label. Provenance: From the John McBride Collection. Earlier ex Col. Steve Ellsworth, June 2020. PCGS# 1645.
