A beautiful jewel with reddish-gold and steely-copper toning that grows deeper towards the borders. The central elements are richly frosted and starkly contrast the reflective fields. The <em>Guide Book</em> suggests a Proof mintage for the date of 600 pieces, with John W. Dannreuther estimating 300 to 400 survivors in the new (2025) volume in his <em>United States Proof Coins</em> reference series.
