Lot Description

1915-S Barber Half Dollar. MS-65 (PCGS). A mottled patina of peach and bronze hues paints the obverse of this lovely Gem half, paired with the most subtle golden tones on the reverse. The surfaces are uniformly blanketed by satiny luster and untroubled by blemishes. With 1,604,000 examples struck, the 1915-S Barber half is readily available in Mint State but remarkably scarce in Gem. Just 18 coins have been certified finer by PCGS through MS-67. PCGS# 6534.
