1742-BB Sou Marque. Strasbourg Mint. Vlack-255. Rarity-5. AU-58 (PCGS). 31.9 grains. Soft at the left and right borders, although both sides are sharply struck otherwise with the most significant design elements crisp. Pale rose and golden-olive toning with most of the original silvering intact. The obverse shows trivial planchet roughness, less on the reverse, with a smooth appearance in hand due to a lack of troublesome marks. Provenance: From the Sydney F. Martin Collection.
