1844-C Liberty Head Quarter Eagle. Winter-1, the only known dies. AU-55 (PCGS). CAC. Struck in attractive reddish-gold. The obverse retains a significant amount of original luster, less so on the reverse. There is light striking of details, consistent with others of this date and mint.
