Lot Description

69.0 grains. A pleasant olive-gray example with tinges of pale mauve and powder blue to even patination. The planchet is choice, trivially out of round with no flaws. The strike is well centered, obverse border engaging the peripheral features at 6 and 11 o'clock, reverse border into the letters LAND in ENGLAND. The inner beaded circles are clear and frame bold central motifs. Smooth and inviting, this is a superior quality Small Planchet Pine Tree shilling at the Choice VF grade level - an excellent candidate for circulated type purposes.
