Lot Description
The final dime issue from the Carson City mint saw a mintage of 200,000 and PCGS CoinFacts estimates that in all grades 700 survive today, with only 100 or so in Mint State. The present coin has a bold, flashy luster with traces of PL reflection in the fields. Deeply toned, we note only a few stray marks that account for the MS62 grade, and the quality is very nice, thus the CAC-endorsement. PCGS 5, NGC 4, CAC 1. The most recent PCGS MS62 to sell in auction was in May 2005 for $1,495. Since then a PCGS MS61 (no CAC) sold in July 2007 for $2,415 and a PCGS (no CAC) sold for $2,468 in April 2014. The current CU level is $2,000 and this one should bring more with its strong eye appeal and CAC approval. Cert. Number 34173433 PCGS # 4686
