- 1795 Washington Liberty and Security Halfpenny. Baker-31B, W-11010. URS-7. BIRMINGHAM Edge. MS-61 BN (PCGS). We note typical softness of strike in and around the centers for this strictly Mint State survivor, although the detail does sharpen considerably toward the borders. A series of (individually) small planchet flaws nearly bisects the central reverse, and other as struck features on that side include a die crack through the top of the eagle and a few faint planchet drift marks. The obverse is overall smoother, and both sides are nicely toned in original sandy-brown patina. Part of the Conder token series, struck in England and widely circulated there, with survivors quite scarce in Unc, as here.
