Lot Description

<strong>Obv:</strong> Similar to the adopted design for the contemporary three-cent nickel, with slight differences including the addition of a star on the coronet. On this particular obverse die the digit 1 in the date is centered between the border and the base of Liberty's portrait. <strong>Rev:</strong> A Roman numeral V in the center with a wreath encircling, a scroll inscribed with the motto IN GOD WE TRUST and a Maltese cross are above. Subdued, somewhat glossy surfaces in silver gray.
