Lot Description

One of the early die state pieces that shows the overdate fairly strong. With the advantage of Population Reports, we now know that the overdate represents about one-half of the issue for the year. This one has faint haze and minor specks on both sides from long storage in a National Pages album. <BR>Estimated Value $350 - 400. <I><BR>From the Benson Collection and purchased from Ira S. Reed, March 8, 1944 as part of a complete set from 1865 to 1889 for $230.</I>
