Lot Description: Ex Bass-Simpson, as noted on the insert. A lovely, high end CAMEO GEM example of this popular pattern cent. Longacre's design, very similar to the then current 3 cent nickel, this design type was struck in nickel with a plain edge. Common for a pattern, this Judd number is listed as Rarity-4, with perhaps 76-200 known in all grades. Bold reflection contrasts nicely against the frosted devices. A blush of iridescent toning on the reverse is noted, and the eye appeal is excellent. Ex. Leww Hewitt, April 1972 to Harry Bass; Harry W.
