Lot Description

1878-S Liberty Half Eagle. MS-64 (PCGS). Although a common date Half Eagle otherwise, in grades of Mint State these are rare. In MS-64 they are true condition rarities. In fact, PCGS has seen only 4 that grade this high, with a single example of this date a point finer. The luster is dazzling and the surfaces are satin smooth with a strong loupe needed to find the few bagmarks that are present. Incredible quality for the specialist.
