THE SOMMELIER COLLECTION Ex Twin Leaf Collection, as noted on the insert. An impressively lustrous N-41, tied for Noyes' Condition Census #5. A steely brown patina mingles with copious amounts of original red that clings to the protected areas. The obverse is more even, while the reverse has a more dappled toned appearance. Well struck from an early die state, a rare early state. Ex. Superior's sale of the Evan Kopald Collection, September 1998, lot 1751; Twin Leaf Collection, Stack's Bowers, July 2015, lot 2500. PCGS 29, NGC 8, CAC 18. The most recent examples sold in 2017, realizing $3,120 and $2,820. The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $3,750. Just six are graded in MS66 RB finer.
