Lot Description
Mintage of just 700 proofs struck. This coin was struck so deeply the planchet is concave. Meaning the die struck the coin so deeply, the obverse is concave and the reverse is convex: An as-minted anomaly that created bowl-like mirrors and protected a significant amount of cameo effect, especially on the obverse. There are small planchet marks on the obverse, including a raised area on the cheek, which is typical for the date and found on many cameo examples (See images in PCGS CoinFacts). Tied for finest known CAM, with only three finer in DCAM.
