Lot Description: 1794 Liberty Cap Cent. S-60. Rarity-3. Head of 1794. VF-35 (PCGS). Original golden-brown surfaces with intermingled deep rose highlights evident as the coin rotates under a light. The strike is well centered with virtually complete denticulation around both sides, the only exception minor softness along the lower reverse border. A number of marks on Liberty's portrait and in the right obverse field are noted, the reverse far smoother overall, and none of the blemishes out of context for the assigned grade. The census for Sheldon-60 drops down to the EAC Very Fine level rather quickly, confirming the significance of this PCGS-certified VF-35 for early copper enthusiasts. Provenance: Ex J.
