1877 Liberty Quarter Eagle. Proof-55 (NGC). Traces of orange-peel surface remain after limited circulation. A prohibitively rare issue with just 20 struck in the proof format, and scarce as a regular issue too. Clean surfaces and appealing as there is enough reflectivity to please the eye and no surface issues such as scratches or heavy marks. A rarity that spent a brief time in the channels of commerce before being plucked out and preserved.
