- Lot Description
- Really a beautiful coin, and one that really needs to be seen to be fully appreciated. The obverse is the more boldly and vividly toned of the two sides, with a delightful bulls-eye pattern to lemon-yellow, cobalt blue, olive-copper and pinkish-apricot iridescence. The final-listed color dominates on the reverse, with a blush of cobalt blue at the lower left border on that side. Nicely mirrored in finish, and expectably well preserved at the threshold of full Gem quality. Proof mintage: 960 coins, most survivors from which are nowhere near as attractive as this, regardless of numeric grade.
