- 1892-CC Morgan Silver Dollar. MS-65 PL (NGC). A beautiful Gem with shimmering snow-white surfaces, and stark contrast between frosted devices and reflective fields. Impressive striking definition fully brings up the design elements, including Liberty's central hair curls and the eagle's breast feathers. The surfaces are surprisingly nice for a Carson City dollar and the cheek is especially smooth--these features are so delicate and rarely found this well preserved as the mirror surfaces are so prone to bagmarks. In fact, this is one of the four finest seen by NGC in the Prooflike designation, with one more noted at this grade level with the Deep Prooflike fields, but none are finer with this degree of contrast. An extraordinary condition rarity for the specialist who appreciates and demands eye appeal and quality.
