Impressive and SUPERB in every way. The 1983 Doubled Die Reverse is a very popular modern variety, with bold doubling on every letter on that side, and the doubling is dramatic, visible to the naked eye, unlike so many Doubled Die varieties that require a strong glass to see. The luster drips from the surfaces, oozing with a stunning original mint red color. No toning, flecks, or discolorations can be found anywhere, and were it not for a tiny spot where grease likely filled the dies and prevented full striking on the ST of STATES, this SUPERB GEM could have graded even higher! WOW, what a magnificent example! PCGS 64, NGC 122, CAC 16. The most recent example sold in an online auction in November 2019 for $1,450. The current CAC CPG value is $1,640.
