- 1848 Braided Hair Cent. N-2. Rarity-1. Grellman Die State D. MS-64 RB (PCGS). Plenty of original luster remains to both sides, the color a pretty medium-orange shade that blends nicely with light, mottled, gray-brown patina. Well struck and attractively original, this handsome near-Gem would do nicely in a high-grade set.
