"1796" Castorland Medal, or Jeton. Restrike. W-9155. Original Die Obverse Die, Copy Die Reverse. Copper. Reeded Edge, Stamped CUIVRE. MS... 181.8 grains. Medal turn. The glossy and somewhat reflective golden-tan surfaces exhibit bold splashes of deep orange-red toning in the protected areas. The strike is bold throughout and the coin is attractive for the grade with no marks or blemishes visible to the naked eye. Choice for the grade and worth a premium bid.
