1867 Silver Three-Cent Piece. Proof-66 Cameo (NGC). CAC. Lightly toned in the centers, splashes of warmer steel-blue and reddish-russet iridescence enliven the peripheries. The finish is boldly cameoed, the surfaces expertly preserved and visually stunning. The 1867 was produced to the extent of 625 Proofs, all of which were distributed as part of the year's silver Proof sets. Survivors enjoy heightened demand in today's market due to the low mintage, key date status of the year's circulation strike (just 4,000 coins produced).
