- 20 in AU-55 and only 49 higher at PCGS. Wonderfully original gunmetal grey surfaces with hints of luster and olive toning hugging the edges result in eye appeal that far exceeds the PCGS AU-55 grade on this 1831 Large Letters quarter. The reverse shows vivid rainbow colors and more powerful luster than the obverse, and both sides have only minimal wear on the high points of the design. A great Capped Bust example for the type set collector who demands originality and strong eye appeal (ls).
