Lot Description

What a great looking, especially well pedigreed Bust half dollar. Rich pearly-silver with pewter dove overtones sparkle with a wonderful satiny luster provides a lovely under glow. Rotating the lustrous surfaces in a light, delicate hints of lilac-teal and orange-gold come out with a vibrant flair. Nicely defined on both sides, though the hair curls and drapery folds are somewhat blunt. The eye appeal is wonderful and totally original. PCGS 27, NGC 22, CAC 8. This was the most recent coin to sell, realizing $3,960 in April 2018. NOTE: it did sell for $4,994 in the original Newman auction in November 2013. The current Collector's Universe value is $5,500. A great Bust half like this will always attract strong bidding from collectors, no doubt it will here. The quality is nice and the pedigree is classic! Cert. Number 2037647-054 PCGS # 6109
