Struck from a reverse die created from a new hub, with closer placement of AM in AMERICA. These were the regular hubs put into service beginning in 1993, a single reverse die was prematurely sent to the Denver mint and used in 1992, creating a rare and important variety. This borderline GEM has brilliant red luster and a crisp strike. A strong glass notes a few minor flecks and ticks, but nothing visible to the naked eye. VERY RARE in all grades, this one ranks among the 10 HIGHEST graded at PCGS. PCGS 1, NGC 0. This coin sold for $5,141 in February 2013 and $4,555 in January 2023; the current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $6,000.
