1873-CC Seated Liberty Half Dollar. No Arrows. AU-58 (PCGS). A frosty pale golden specimen with the initial appearance of a Mint State coin—the way an AU-58 coin should appear. The strike is sharp and no serious flaws greet the eye. Mintmark high in the die, second C nearly touches stem of branch. There are but 10 examples of this scarcity in finer grades than that offered here and we suspect the majority of that tiny sum are already in major Liberty Seated half dollar collections; the acquisition of the present piece is therefore a must-have situation if a high grade specimen is on your current numismatic "buy" list.
