- 1954-D Washington Quarter. MS-67+ (PCGS). CAC.
One of the finest examples of the issue known to PCGS, this frosty Superb Gem borders on pristine. Equally as impressive as the technical quality, the eye appeal is outstanding, benefiting from bold swaths of iridescent steel-rose and reddish-orange toning over the lower obverse and upper reverse. The Denver Mint struck 42,305,500 quarters in 1954, and this is certainly one of the loveliest available to today's collectors.
Provenance: From the Washington Rainbows Collection, the #1 PCGS Registry Set of Silver Washington Quarters, 1932-1964.
PCGS Population: 6; 0 finer.
PCGS# 5856. NGC ID: 2468.
